Nothing compares to a warm cardigan when the temperatures drop: it is comfy, nice-looking, and easy to pull off. Styling a cardigan sweater is a piece of cake, it goes well with so many outfits!

The Cardigan Guide

Casual look: a boyfriend cardigan / oversized cardigan is a great way to complete a casual outfit. It looks best when matched with skinny jeans and tight tops. Avoid unnecessary volume, since an oversized cardigan already gives you some. Jeans can be replaced with leggings, as long as your cardigan is long enough to cover the rear.

Dressy look: a long cardigan is a great complement to a bodycon dress, whereas a short cardigan is perfect for dresses with voluminous bottoms. Allow yourself a cardigan in a bright color if your outfit is muted and neutral. Vice versa, choose soft hues for your cardigan, if the rest of the outfit is bright and busily patterned. Add a belt to accentuate the waist and put on a scarf to accessorize your look a bit more.

Preppy / formal look: a buttoned cardigan worn on the top of a shirt creates a neat, preppy look. You can make it either formal or informal by wearing trousers, skirts, or skinny jeans.
